Journal of Atmospheric Science Research publishes original research papers that offers a rapid review and publication that freely disseminates research findings in areas of Remote Sensing, Weather Extremes, Air Pollution, Satellite Meteorology and more. The Journal focuses on innovations of research methods at all stages and is committed to providing theoretical and practical experience for all those who are involved in these fields.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Peer Review Process

Manuscripts submitted the journal will be subject to a rigorous peer review process. This allows the journal to maintain a high standard of publication, both in terms of academic writing as well as the integrity of the research content.

When the manuscripts reach the editorial office of the journal, the managing editor first conducts a preliminary check of the article for plagiarism and other errors. The manuscript may be returned to the author without further consideration should the preliminary check yield unsatisfactory results.

If the manuscript passes the preliminary check, reviewers will be chosen according to their availability, expertise and suitability to the research topic of the manuscript. Reviewers will submit their reviews of the manuscript along with their recommendation (Accept, Revisions Required, Resubmit for Review, Reject).

The decision to accept or reject a problematic manuscript will be made in consultation with the Editor-in-Chief and/or the Associate Editor(s).

Decision:

Accept (No amendments required from Author)

Revisions Required (Minor revisions)

Resubmit for Review (Major revisions)

Manuscript will be sent to the Editing stage.

Authors are given 2 weeks to revise and reupload the manuscript.

Upon publication, a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is registered for the paper, and the paper is made publically accessible.

The Editing stage consists of copyediting, proofreading, layout editing, and scheduling the accepted paper for publication. The Author’s participation continues to be crucial at this stage to ensure that all amendments made do not affect the integrity of the manuscript content and/or mar its readability.

Appeals can be made for a rejected manuscript. Requests for appeal must be submitted to contact@bilpublishing.com and accompanied by point-by-point responses to reviewer comments in order to be considered for reevaluation.

 

Open Access Policy

The journal is published under the Open Access model, which allows for the greater dissemination of research results by granting free access to the public.

Under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), the author retains the copyright of the content. The public is allowed to adapt and share the author’s content, as long as the author is properly credited.

The Open-Access policy allows for increased visibility and availability, which in turns increases the citation and impact factor of the published article. By publishing online, the policy also allows for rapid publication of the article.

 

Authorship

The consent of all authors, as well as related authorities/institutions has been received prior to the submission of the manuscript.

The order of the authors (as to be reflected on the published article) has been established. The adding or deleting of authors once the manuscript has been accepted for publication would have to be accompanied by a signed statement of consent of all authors.

All authors have contributed significantly to the research. Authors are obligated to participate in the peer review process, providing retractions/corrections/amendments when necessary.

All conflicts of interest/financial support have been declared

 

Publication Frequency

The Journal of Atmospheric Science Research is a quarterly publication.

 

Database and Indexing

As a new journal, the editorial team behind Journal of Atmospheric Science Research is currently doing its best to have the journal indexed in databases all around the world. Currently, the journal has been indexed by:

  • CNKI Scholar: Originating from China, CNKI Scholar is one of the largest databases. The database is popular amongst scholars in China, and has moved from the indexing of mainly Chinese articles, to articles written in other languages as well.
  • J-Gate: As one of the largest databases originating from India, indexing by J-Gate has allowed the journal to reach more readers in one of the world’s fastest growing markets.
  • MyScienceWork: MyScienceWork originated from Luxembourg, Europe, and indexes content from a wide variety of sources to provide a comprehensive perspective to academic publication.
  • GoogleScholar: GoogleScholar is a freely accessible search engine that indexes the full text or metadata of academic content.

The editorial team is currently working towards indexing in other renowned databases in the academic publishing field as well. As the length of publication is often a consideration for renowned international databases, the journal will do its best to apply for indexing in databases relevant to its current stage in development, while keeping databases such as DOAJ, Web of Science, and Scopus as its goals for the near future.

 

Language

The journal is published in the English language.

Authors should ensure that all submitted manuscripts are written in clear, coherent, and precise English in order to optimize its readability.

Submission Preparation Checklist

By submitting a manuscript to the journal, the Author(s) verifies that the following items have been met:
  1. The submission has not been previously published under another journal, or is currently under consideration for another journal.
  2. The submission format should be in Microsoft Word. Other word processing software may be considered.
  3. DOIs or URLs have been provided wherever possible in the Reference List.
  4. The document(s) have been formatted according to the requirements under Author Guidelines. The placement of illustrations, figures, graphs, tables, and equations have been integrated into the main manuscript.
  5. Instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed in order to comply with the double-blind peer review process employed.

Journal of Atmospheric Science Research is an Open Access Journal under Bilingual Publishing CO. All articles published in Journal of Atmospheric Science Research are accessible electronically from the journal website without the need for subscription fees or other forms of payment from the readers. In order to ensure our content is freely available for the benefit of a wider audience while uncompromising our journal quality, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is applicable to all authors who wish to submit their articles to the journal. The APC is intended to cover the underlying costs of article processing, such as peer-review, copyediting, typesetting, publishing, content depositing and archiving processes. Those charges are applicable only to authors whose manuscripts have been successfully accepted after peer-review.

Reviewer Responsibilities

Peer reviews are conducted as a double-blind process via our Open Journal System (OJS). As an editor’s and/or reviewer’s comments will determine the acceptance or rejection of manuscripts, these comments play an important role in the peer-review process.

Reviews should be conducted in a fair and objective manner. Remarks and suggestions should not contain insults or criticism directed at the author as opposed to the manuscript.

The peer review should not be seen as an opportunity to appropriate the author’s ideas or data.

Reviewers are advised to adhere to the following:

  Conflicts of interest should be declared accordingly

  Published works which are relevant and would value-add to the manuscript should be pointed out

  Reviewed articles and their contents should be kept strictly confidential

  Reviews should be objective; personal criticisms are to be avoided

  Promptness in response; reviewers should inform Bilingual Publishing CO. should they be unable to take part in the peer review of a particular manuscript
